Harley-Davidson Issues Recall for Oil Leak Risk

Harley-Davidson has recalled more than 2,900 motorcycles to fix oil line clamps that could come loose and spray oil onto the rear tire.

Entertaining though such a feature could be, Transport Canada points out that the resulting loss of rear-wheel traction could cause serious injury or death to the rider. As a precaution, Harley will inspect the clamps connecting the lines to the bike’s oil cooler and reposition or replace them as necessary.

This recall affects 2017 versions of the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic and Police models; Police Road King; Road Glide and Road Glide Special; Road King and Road King Special; and Street Glide and Street Glide Special.

As a child, Chris spent much of his time playing with toy cars in his parents’ basement; when his mother would tell him to go play outside, he made car sounds while riding his bicycle or dug roads for his toys in the flower garden. Now he gets to indulge his obsession playing with real cars that make their own cool noises, and gets paid for it.
